On 16 November 2023, the Balzan Prizewinners will present their work at the Balzan Prizewinners Interdisciplinary Forum at the City Hall (Rathaus) in Bern. The forum offers the public a unique opportunity to engage with the prize winners in person. The award winners are:
- David Damrosch for World Literature
- Jean-Jacques Hublin for Evolution of Humankind: Paleoanthropology
- Eske Willerslev for Evolution of Humankind: Ancient DNA and Human Evolution
- Heino Falcke for High resolution images: from planetary to cosmic objects
The Balzan Special Prize for Humanity, Peace, and Fraternity Among Peoples will be awarded to the Francesca Rava Foundation.
The forum is expected to take place from 10:00 - 15:00. The event including lunch is free of charge. The exact programme will be posted here at a later date. Registration is requested.
