Prix Média and Prix Média Newcomer
The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences promote dialogue between science and society. Journalists play an important role by critically examining complex topics and preparing them for a broad audience. The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences honour and promote this journalistic work with various media awards.
The Prix Média is awarded annually for a contribution to science journalism. The Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences also award the Prix Média Newcomer at the same time and in the same amount. This is intended for media professionals aged 31 or under, in order to specifically promote the next generation of science journalists.
